The folks over at Gizmodo have provided a screenshot of the specs on Dell’s upcoming netbook — Inspiron 910. Still no word on pricing, but the release date is expected to be August 22, 2008. The specs look to be right in line with the offerings by ASUS, Acer, MSI, and others.

A scheduled Dell press event today may announce the release of Dell’s new 8.9-inch and 12.1-inch E-series netbooks. There is also rumor of a 10-inch model. We’ll have to wait and see.
Update: No Dell netbooks were announced today, but new Latitudes were announced.

DigiTimes is reporting that Dell will release an E-series low-cost laptop that will be priced at only US$299, US$100 cheaper than Acer’s Aspire one. If the specs and the price follow through to its release, the Dell E-series will be a strong contender in the subnotebook market.
