I’m more of a Firefox guy, myself, but Robin Harris provides a tip for enabling Safari’s Web Inspector window.

Simply open up Terminal.app, and paste this command, then restart Safari:

defaults write com.apple.Safari WebKitDeveloperExtras -bool true

Now, when you right-click (or control-click) on a web page, you will be presented with the new option — Inspect Element.
