Toshiba announced today the introduction of solid state drives in its 1.8-inch hard drive lineup. The first model will be a 128GB drive that is capable of 100MB per second read speeds, and 40MB per second write speeds. The drives will also be available in 32GB and 64GB models. Toshiba has not yet disclosed pricing, but if other drives in that category are any indicator, these won’t be cheap.
