magellan3100.jpgThe Magellan 3100 GPS has been hacked by dgoeken to add a file browser, media player, and an upgraded Points of Interest file. Some users have said that the hack works on other models of Magellan GPS (link)

dgoeken’s instructions can be found here or here.

    Hi there,

i recently got Magellan 4250. But I was very disaapointed to see that it didnt have a media player.
I was wondering if the instructions for hacking 4250 is same as that of 3100? I only want to add media player.
I will really appreciate any replies
    Thanks very much

    Hi Kevin,

I haven’t seen any information about adding a media player to the Magellan 4250. For that matter, I haven’t read of anyone hacking a 4250.

I believe the 3100 is only a North America model, and I haven’t seen any Asia maps on Magellan’s site.
