An interesting patent application has been published today by the US Patent & Trademark Office. The patent application by Apple Computer, Inc. is for an integrated monitor and docking station. The form factor would be similar to the current generation of iMacs. There would be a cavity behind the LCD panel to house a notebook(subnotebook?). The notebook and docking station would have a unique docking port that is magnetically engaged when the notebook is inserted. Or alternatively, a wireless connection could be used.
