ssd_sata_5000.jpgToday SanDisk introduced a new thinner, higher-capacity addition to their SATA 5000 lineup. This 72GB solid state drive is only 5mm thick and 45 grams in weight. It is capable of sustained read rate of 66 megabyte (MB)1/sec and a random read rate of over 7000 inputs/outputs per second (IOPS) for a 512-byte transfer – more than 100 times faster than any hard disk drive.
