10 March 2008 @ 8:24The Bank Job
We went to see The Bank Job at the theater this weekend. I went into this film expecting some hardcore Statham action, and while I didn’t quite get what I expected, I was not disappointed with the film.
The Bank Job tells the true story of how in 1971 thieves tunneled into a bank vault to steal the contents of the safe deposit boxes and find themselves in the midst of corruption and scandal.
IMDB classifies The Bank Job as a thriller, although I would consider it a suspense. It is definitely not an action flick. There are no car chases, and the one and only fight scene involving Statham’s character doesn’t happen until nearly the end of the film.
Aside from my own expectations going into this film, I still found it highly enjoyable. This is a movie I will surely add to my collection.
