9 July 2008 @ 8:44Vantage Point (2008)
As I watched Vantage Point the other night, I couldn’t help but be annoyed by the time-shifting of the story in order to convey a sense of the events from different perspectives (vantage points). I felt like the movie would have flowed better had it been presented as a continuous chronological stream.
About 45 minutes to an hour into the movie, the time-shifting stops and the movie starts to become more entertaining, and we see a high speed car chase on crowded city streets, but once the chase ends, the movie is basically finished.
To summarize Vantage Point, I would say it has a pretty slow lead up to an exciting car chase followed by a rather abrupt ending.
