Great Britain, 30 years after the outbreak of the “Reaper Virus”, finds itself on the verge of widespread infection yet again. A team of soldiers, headed by Major Eden Sinclair (Rhona Mitra), is sent into the still-quarantined area in search for a cure.
I enjoyed watching Doomsday, but I couldn’t help but see similarities to other recent movies. Doomsday felt to me like a mix of 28 Days Later, Escape from New York, Mad Max, and Gladiator with some knights on horseback and a liberal splattering of blood thrown in for good measure.
