28 July 2008 @ 8:26Babylon A.D. – trailer
I haven’t heard much about Babylon A.D., but I did happen to see the trailer over the weekend. It looks like a blast of an action movie. If you like Vin Diesel, you will probably enjoy this one.
Veteran-turned-mercenary Toorop takes the high-risk job of escorting a woman from Russia to China. Little does he know that she is host to an organism that a cult wants to harvest in order to produce a genetically modified Messiah.
According to IMDb, this film had to be bailed out by the production’s insurance company after running over-budget and significantly beyond schedule. (#)
Directed by: Mathieu Kassovitz (La Haine, Gothika)
Starring: Vin Diesel, Mélanie Thierry, Michelle Yeoh, Lambert Wilson, Mark Strong, Charlotte Rampling, Gérard Depardieu
Release date: August 29, 2008
Rating: PG13
If you are curious about the music in the trailer, it is Requiem For A Tower Mvt. IV by Daniel J. Nielsen and Clint Mansell which was popularized by Requiem for a Dream.

the previews for Babylon AD made me expect something a lot more original… it totally felt like a cross between Minority Report and the Fifth Element
