Doubt looks to be an outstanding display of acting talent by Philip Seymour Hoffman, Meryl Streep, and Amy Adams. I’m fervently awaiting the release of this film which is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning play written and directed by John Patrick Shanley.
Set in 1964, Doubt centers on a nun who confronts a priest after suspecting him abusing a black student. He denies the charges, and much of the play’s quick-fire dialogue tackles themes of religion, morality and authority.
Release date: December 12, 2008
Oh, and in case you were wondering, the music in the Doubt trailer is “Horse Falls” by J. Ralph. It is also part of the Lucky Number Slevin score.
