Amazon announced the the new T-Mobile G1 phone will come with the Amazon MP3 store pre-loaded as an application much like the iTunes Store on the iPhone. Amazon claims that they have 6 million DRM-free MP3 songs from all four major music labels and other independent artists. The Amazon MP3 store will require a WiFi connection to browse and buy music.

Apple, take notice. Creating a mobile version of iTunes (with iTunes Store) for other phones besides the iPhone might not be a bad idea.
