Flashbacks of a Fool tells of a fading Hollywood star, Joe Scot, who looks back on the days of his youth as he returns home for his childhood friend’s funeral.

I initially wanted to see Flashbacks of a Fool because Daniel Craig was the first-billed actor, but it turned out that his role in the story was rather minimal. However, I found Flashbacks to be quite a moving film with a number of other great actors.

The bulk of Flashbacks is just that, a flashback to a summer of Joe Scot’s youth which greatly affected him and shaped who he was to become. Flashbacks of a Fool is both beautifully filmed and beautifully written.

Writer/Director: Baillie Walsh
Starring: Daniel Craig, Harry Eden, Eve, Olivia Williams, Claire Forlani

Rated R for strong sexual content, nudity, language and some drug use.
