3 September 2007 @ 14:42iPhoneSIMfree scam?

iPhoneSIMfree very well could be a scam, but most users won’t have the chance to fall victim to iPhoneSIMfree’s scam (or at least not first-hand). The reason? iPhoneSIMfree is now stating that they are a wholesaler only.

Apple Store

Not too long ago, iPhoneSIMfree claimed to have the ability to unlock iPhones and would very soon release their unlocking application to the public, but, according to Engadget, in an email dated Sunday, September 02, 2007 iPhoneSIMfree reveals that, “Although we could, we do not and will not sell directly to end users, because we want to work together with our valuable resellers as a team and not interfere in their business.”

Also of note, the email from iPhoneSIMfree states iPhoneSIMfree “CANNOT guarantee that this software will work after any future updates for the iphone [sic].”

Make what you want of all this, but iPhoneSIMfree doesn’t seem like a group that I would give my money to.
