Over the past week some Mac sites (four that I know of) were defaced by someone calling himself “malcor”. This, in turn, brought about some panic in the security and Wordpress communities. A couple security firms blogged about the incident (Avert Labs, Blogvis.com) which only served to increase the awareness/panic.

If you haven’t heard yet, the last two weeks were the best ever for Nintendo Wii sales. 350,000 Wii consoles were sold the week of Thanksgiving and 300,000 the week prior. Some Zune 30s and Zune 80s are exhibiting a shortened battery life after upgrading to the latest firmware. The temporary fix is to hold back and down on the d-pad to shut the Zune off completely when it is not in use. Microsoft has yet to comment on this matter or issue any updates.
