11 December 2007 @ 14:42Samsung’s Blu-Ray Player Closing the Price Gap

bd-p1400.jpgHD DVD players have led Blu-Ray players in the low price arena, but Samsung is trying to close that gap with their BD-P1400 1080p Blu-Ray Disc Player that is currently priced at $245.48. Toshiba broke the $200 barrier a couple months ago with their HD-A3. Whether you are a Blu-Ray fan or an HD DVD fan, you can’t argue that HD DVD players have the lead when it comes to being economical. In order for Blu-Ray to have a chance in the format war, manufacturers will need to keep lowering the price of the players.
