Time Machine Apparently, today’s AirPort Utility today brought with it a firmware update for the AirPort Extreme.

This update now allows the use of AirPort Extreme-attached drives as Time Machine backup volumes. This is great news for owners of AirPort Extremes who felt shunned by Apple with the news about 5 months ago that said they couldn’t use Time Machine with their Extreme-attached drive.
