Yesterday I decided it was time to upgrade my hosting plan for this domain, because it was starting to get kinda cramped. So I logged into the ICDSoft hosting control panel and click “Upgrades”. The thinkunique.org domain was apparently being hosted on an older machine, and in order to upgrade, it needed to be migrated to a new machine. The upgrade was free, so it was pretty much a no-brainer.

I sent an email to support and asked what they needed me to do in order to prepare for the migration. Within a minute a got a reply that told me that I simply needed to order the upgrade and schedule a time for the migration.

I proceeded with the upgrade, set a time when I would like the migration to be performed (during the time of least traffic according to my logs), and went on about my business. Honestly part of me was just a slight bit nervous about the migration.

Well, as soon as I awoke this morning, I checked my email and had one from ICDSoft telling me that the migration was successful. As I log into different parts of my site, everything seems to be in working order.

I’ve been using ICDSoft for my hosting for a little over a year, and have been very pleased with their customer service and reliability.
