20 August 2008 @ 19:06MSI follows ASUS’ lead with Atom-based desktop PC

Shortly after ASUS’ Eee Box Atom-based desktop PC started showing in stores, MSI puts out the Wind PC with similar specs, but missing a hard drive, RAM, and an optical drive so that users can put together their own configuration. The Wind PC will support up to 2GB of DDR/2 400/533 RAM, and sports an Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor with a 533MHz front-side bus. A SD/MMC/MS/XD 4-in-1 Card Reader, 6 USB ports, 8-channel audio out, Intel GMA 950 video, and VGA out make this a decent PC for the buck. The MSI Wind is selling for around $140.
