Lenovo is calling the ThinkPad W-Series their “most powerful notebooks ever”. Both models can be configured with up to a 2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor. The W500 comes with an ATI Mobility FireGL V5700 with 512MB VRAM, 1 GB PC3-8500 DDR3 SDRAM 1067MHz SODIMM Memory, 100GB hard drive 7200rpm, 15.4-inch LCD display, and a 6 cell Li-Ion Battery. The W700 comes with a 17-inch LCD display, 2 GB PC3-8500 DDR3 SDRAM 1067MHz SODIMM Memory, NVIDIA Quadro FX-2700 (DVI-DL+DisplayPort+ST) 512MB, 160 GB Hard Disk Drive 7200rpm, and a 9 cell Li-Ion Battery. The W700 supports up to 2 internal hard drives in a RAID configuration.
