If you dislike any flavor of Windows on your hardware, then the HP Mini Mi might just be the netbook you’ve been waiting for. The Mini Mi comes with an Intel Atom Processor N270 (1.60GHz), 512MB RAM (up to 2GB), 8GB SSD (up to 60GB HDD), 8.9-inch widescreen LCD (up to 10.1-inch LCD), a built-in webcam, wireless-G (with optional Bluetooth), 2 USB Ports, RJ-45 ethernet, and a 2-in-1 integrated Digital Media Reader.
The HP Mini Mi is based on the same design as the business-class HP Mini-Note with its large keyboard that is 92% full-size.
The HP Mini Mi series comes with HP’s own Mi (Mobile Internet) Operating System built on Linux reliability. The open source software includes:

* Thunderbird for e-mail
* Pidgin for instant messaging
* OpenOffice for word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations
* HP MediaStyle (powered by Elisa) for music and movie player
