12 January 2009 @ 20:56Are You Ready For Your Flying Car?

Massachusetts-based company, Terrafugia, plans to give their flying car, the Terrafugia Transition, a test flight in the coming week. If successful, the Transition could be in showrooms in about 18 months.

The Terrafugia Transition runs on regular unleaded fuel with a 100hp engine, and can transform from aircraft to automobile in 15 seconds. It has a flight range of 500 miles and a top speed of 115mph. The expected retail price is $200,000, which is a bit pricey for an automobile, but actually affordable for an aircraft.

Yeah, I want one of these.
