Music legend Neil Young has created a company called Linc Volt Technology to promote the consversion of existing gas-guzzling cars into energy efficient electric and natural gas cars.
Young already converted his 1959 Lincoln Continental Mark IV into an electric which is powered by an electric motor from UQM Technologies.
This is awesome news as nothing today [...]

I love the idea of hybrid and all-electric vehicles, but so often they are accompanied by uninspired and sleepy styling. The Audi A1 Sportback, on the other hand, is quite the looker.
Not only does the Audi A1 Sportback look good, but it performs reasonably well too. In hybrid mode, the A1 can go from 0-62mph [...]

Remember the V8 engine made out of LEGO’s? That was impressive, but this small-scale V12 replica built by Ralf Drendel is even more impressive. In other words, it will actually make an RC car go, and undoubtedly go fast. The design of this engine is quite nice, and the sound is very nice for such [...]

Now this is a car I would love to have — the Ghostbusters Ecto-1. You sure wouldn’t win any gas conservation awards driving this 5000-pound-beast, but, of course, the wasted gas would be worthwhile for all the attention you would receive driving the Ecto-1, right?
The Ecto-1 is currently on auction at eBay Motors until October [...]

Lotus has developed the Concept Ice Vehicle for Antarctic expeditions. The CIV runs on biofuel, is propellor-driven, and rides on three independent skids. I want one of these!

What you see here is just a body prototype for a 3-wheeled elctric car without any specific drivetrain details, other than electric, 100-mile range, and 100mph top speed. Interesting nevertheless.
The prototype was design by Applied Technologies in Maumee, OH, and will be shipped to California where a team will work on the drivetrain for the [...]

MR38 has some great photos of some street legal bumper cars. These things have 750cc Kawasaki engines, so I’m sure they’re a blast to drive. I would love to have one of these.

We spotted this 2009 Honda Pilot on the road yesterday and snapped a couple photos. It had black plastic tape covering all the exterior emblems and badges.
Click the photos for a larger view.
