The Samsung NC10-11PBK is available for order now. I bet you’re wondering what’s special about this “special edition”. Well, for one thing, it has a higher capacity 5900mAh 6-cell battery which provides about 9.4 hours of runtime. Also, the touchpad is slightly more “special” (ie. larger). The rest of the specs include:
* 10.2-inch Wide, 1024 x 600 WSVGA , 220 nits
* Intel Atom processor N270, 1.6 GHz, 533 MHz Front Side Bus, 512 KB Level 2 Cache
* 160 GB, 2.5-inch HD, 1 GB DDR2 800 MHz
* Intel 945GSE shared, 802.11 b/g WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, 10/100 BaseTX LAN

I think this one has the best keyboard layout. Proper size left shift key (vs S10 or 1000H), std size peroid and slash keys (vs eee or wind). Have F1-12 (vs dell mini). Proper slide to scroll (vs wind) mouse pad but no mention of multi-touch support.
S10 has express card slot but I can live without it in exchange for the std 6 cell battery. I can’t pick out a kensington lock hole from the photos but minor issue for what I use it for. Decent look as well!
All in all, if they don’t frag up the pricing, this seems to be a winner for me! And lets hope the surface doesn’t run as hot as the S10.
