Apple introduced an updated Xserve that performs almost twice as fast as the previous model. The new Xserve uses Intel “Nehalem” Xeon processors at up to 2.93GHz and can be configured with up to 3TB of internal storage. Another new option is a 128GB SSD boot drive for faster access time without occupying a storage bay. All Xserves include an unlimited client license for Mac OS X Server. Prices start at $2,999.
