Apple announced today that they sold their one millionth iPhone 3G on Sunday, July 13, 2008. That is only 3 days after it went on sale. That’s pretty impressive.

We all know that the iPhone 3G is cheaper than the original iPhone, because AT&T is subsidizing its price. An Oppenheimer analyst says that subsidy payment is $325 per iPhone. That is a surprisingly large figure, but goes to show how much faith AT&T has in the iPhone bringing new customers to their network.
