Stuart Lowe installed Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.5 on a Gigabyte M912X netbook tablet. For us Mac users out there, this would make a pretty cool little portable. The Gigabyte M912X has a swivel 8.9-inch touchscreen and is powered by the Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor.

Nokia announced that they will buy the rest of Symbian for €264 million ($410 million), and they will also make the Symbian code open source. Nokia expects the acquisition to be completed during the fourth quarter of 2008. [via InfoWorld]

TUAW is reporting that Apple will seed an early beta of Mac OS X 10.6 to developers at the upcoming WWDC. Interestingly, Apple has released a 10.4.11 update for Tiger, after the release of 10.5 Leopard. More details here. In addition to this update for Tiger, Apple released a security update for Panther (10.3).
